One of Bender Lumbers important “Core Values” is Service. We do “whatever it takes”. Sometimes that
means helping a customer make the correct purchase or fixing a problem but sometimes it just means
being a good neighbor.

Recently a load of lumber shifted it’s load on the road right in front of our Paoli store. It was late in the
day, quitting time, it was a competitor and we had no reason to help. Yet what was right?
Paul Walls, one of our drivers, in Bender Lumber Fashion could not just let it go. Paul grabbed our lift
and went out to help. Paul stayed late just to help them pick the load up, get it refastened and sent
them on down the road.

If you knew Paul there would be no guessing what he would do. Paul is always willing to help and in any
way. We are so proud of this act of kindness. This exemplifies how an Extra Miler reacts. This is also not
the first time Paul has received this award and will become a Road Warrior.
Congratulations Paul for setting the best example for us all.
