Kimber Bridgewater is a driver “in training” at our Bloomington store. She has been learning from our experienced drivers what to watch out for. She takes her role seriously as she masters her skills. She knows she needs to be responsive but safe.

Late last Friday, one of our Customer Sales Representatives called with a late delivery. His customer needed a load of trim delivered so he could work through the weekend. It was late, but Kimber volunteered to take the load.

Kimber made her delivery to the apartment building project, left the load and prepared her truck for the trip back to the store. While doing her safety walk through she noticed a powerline making contact with some tree branches, sparks were visible. This could be a dangerous situation; action must be taken.

Kimber made the call notifying the Fire Department of the scenario. They responded with crews to rectify the dangerous situation. Kimber is one of our Bender Lumber Heros. She saved the hard work of our client and kept anyone from getting injured.
